The kiosk has been designed to respond directly to the need for a sheltered space for the sale of beach goods and ice cream as well as other necessary sundries of seaside life. The enclosed volume holds all necessary items for refrigeration, services and storage while discreetly opening its window to visitors under a weather-shielding shell. The shell extends itself to protect an outdoor space usable for the sale of beach goods or creating a space for seating for those wishing to enjoy the view in comfort in high winds.

The two diagrams show how wind, programme and circulation form the two shapes according to their needs.
