The new bandstand is designed to create a backdrop and visually frame performance, play and entertainment.

The shell provides lighting for the stage while a ‘pocket’ area at the back can be used as backstage, fitting rooms or storage for ice-skating rental equipment. The stage is partially protected from the elements creating a flexible space.
