Snow City is an idea based
on the emergence of a new form of urbanism due to dramatic climatic shifts.
The idea is materialised in the ‘Snow City’ installation,
a conceptual 3D model of London under deep snow. This extreme example
serves both as a hypothesis and a starting point in order to explore how
climate conditions could affect the shape of cities.
Snow City opened on 25 June 2008 at the Dana Centre in
London, as a part of the London Festival of Architecture
2008. The event included a debate with Superfusionlab Director
Nate Kolbe amongst the key speakers. |
