International Competition: 2001 • Architects: Lida Charsouli, Nathaniel Kolbe

The project was designed for the work of the artist Tomihiro, who is bound to a wheelchair and portrays his art through paintings with his mouth. The project expresses his spirit by allowing the curvature of the landscape to depict the form. The smooth body and landscaped lines which extend the natural contours of the surrounding mountains are used to construct the spaces of exhibition within.
