Dunsanding Beach Hut 2006 • Client: Lincolnshire County Council • Architects: Nathaniel Kolbe & Lida Charsouli •Budget: £20k

Dunsanding Beach Hut was a design for a 3m x 3m shelter on the Lincolnshire coastline.

Superfusionlab wanted to create a dynamic project that was based on a simple mechanism that could produce dramatic and varied effects. We put together this model to show how the walls and roof could function as a fully operable set of doors. Once opened, the user had full view of the sea with a dramatic new screen folded from the members of the walls and roof.

We are excited about the potentials within 'Dunsanding', and will look for new ways to use this technique.
